Hello, travelers! I don't know about you but one of the first things I do when I plan a trip is plan on where to lay my head at night.

The thing is, you usually have your trip pretty well planned out when you start researching hostels. (At least I do.) So your choice of accommodation is limited to your itinerary. But what if you planned your trip the other way around? What if your whole trip was planned around sleep? Ah, sleep.

For instance, who wouldn't want to go to Sweden just so you can stay here? Or to Tokyo so you can stay in one of these? I mean seriously, where's your sense of adventure?

My personal favorite hostel is this one. Europe does some pretty amazing things with their old cathedrals. But that's for another blog. :)

P.S. - In case your wondering, the title of this blog is from a Thomas Hood poem, "Miss Kilmansegg - Her Dream". The whole quote is "O bed! O bed! delicious bed! That heaven upon earth to the weary head." As much as I love that quote, I couldn't fit it all in one title.
