The after party
Thanks to our good friend, the digital camera, recording our adventures is incredibly easy...sometimes, even a little too easy. Indiscriminately shooting every visual delight without fear, we return home with hundreds (sometimes thousands) of photos. For most of us, a few of the photos go on Facebook and the rest (including the attempts to get the Eiffel Tower at night with out it looking blurry) sit on your computer, occasionally popping up on your slideshow screensaver.
If you're anything like me, each time you come across your travel photo folder you make a familiar promise to do something with them in the future. Somehow, though, the stars of the time, money and creativity to do that something never seem to align.
Face it, photo albums and scrapbooks are two of the best ways to tell a visual story of your adventures without forcing your friends, family (and self) to wade through all the rejects and repeats to get to the good part. But who's got the time to do anything else but drag and drop some photos into Facebook?
Ladies and goddesses, solution that will appease your urge to drag & drop while fulfilling your dream of a special something for your photos: digital scrapbooking.Digital scrapbooking provides you with all the material you need to scrapbook at a minimal cost and absolutely no glue. Sounds a little strange, but bear with me here. What if someone gave you beautiful paper, ribbons and buttons and letters and borders and some fabric and let you just drag and drop it to create a beautiful scrapbooking page? No mess, no scissors, no glue, just drag and drop and you're done.
Digital scrapbooking is getting huge but here are just a few places to find it
